British company Motocaddy started making premium electric golf caddies since 2004. Now in 2022, the company is striving to leverage lithium-ion battery technology to create a lightweight product with excellent durability.
All of Motocaddy's models are easily foldable to fit in the storage compartment of a car. Motocaddy offer a wide range of accessories for all your golfing needs. Read on to find the accessories for your Motocaddy trolley.
Trolley Features
All Motocaddy models offer various functions as default, such as an adjustable distance control (ADC) of 45 metres, for hands-free operation of the trolley. Each model offers different speed settings and are lightweight, often under 10 kg. All models of Motocaddy support a weight of approximately 20 kg — this is normally the weight of a golf bag, 14 clubs and balls on average.
The M3, M5, M7 and M-TECH models offer GPS and an advanced LCD, enabling shot trajectory assistance and automated trolley movement modes. For courses with steep terrain, separate Downhill Control (DHC) trolleys of each trolley variant are also available, as well as expanded 28V batteries for players who engage in endurance sessions.
USB Power Bank (EU40)
Most of Motocaddy's trolleys offer a USB charging facility for your smartphone. An optional extra to prevent draining the traction battery is the USB Power Bank. The device has a life of 5 hours, or 2 charging sessions for most smartphones. Furthermore, the device is compatible with Motocaddy's Hot Mitts for colder golfing sessions in the winter months.
Hot Mitts (EUR65)
The Hot Mitts accessory is compatible with Motocaddy trolleys with a 28V lithium-ion battery. The mittens go over the handlebars, and have three heat settings. They can be used with the USB Power Bank or the battery from the trolley.
Unheated mittens are also available for EUR30, compatible with both electric and manual trolley sets.
Deluxe Trolley Towel (EUR15)
This towel accessory attaches to the handlebar of the trolley preventing it from making contact with the ground. It is a highly absorbent cotton material and cleans any type of golf club effectively.
GPS Handle Cover (EUR25)
An impact resistant neoprene cover, used to prevent the GPS display from getting accidentally damaged. A Velcro strap keeps the cover in position and offers a snug fitment onto the module.
The Handle Cover is compatible with M3, M5 and M-TECH units with a GPS module.
Golf Shoe Bag (EUR15)
With an ergonomic carry handle, the Shoe Bag is a practical solution for storing golf shoes. The shoe bag has two ventilation holes to keep them smelling fresh. The bag also has an internal shoe divider and a front accessory pocket to keep extra accessories.
Please note, the maximum recommended shoe size is EU42 (UK8.5).
Universal Accessory Station (EUR15)
The Accessory Station allows up to 4 accessories to be attached to the trolley. The device is compatible with the following Motocaddy accessories:
- Scorecard Holder (EUR 27)
- Drink Holder (EUR22)
- Device Cradle (EUR35)
- Umbrella Holder (EUR30).
The Essential Accessory Pack (EUR90) has all the above accessories, available for a discount.
NB: Motocaddy includes the Accessory Station for trolleys purchased after 2020. The Accessory Station is for MY2018 M-Series and 2019MY onward S1 trolleys. 2018 and older S-Series trolleys will require the specific S-Series Accessory Station (EUR15).
Travel Covers (EUR50)
Available for both the S and M-Series, the respective travel covers feature strong and lightweight material to reduce dirt build-up during transportation.
NB: the trolley does not need to have the wheels inverted for the covers to fit.
Wheel Covers (Pair) (EUR15)
An alternative solution is the wheel cover, should a full cover be unnecessary. This will still keep a vehicle clean as most of the mud will be on the wheels. Even on dry days in Spain, there will be some dirt on the wheels. The wheel covers are elasticated to ensure a secure fit, and are also compatible with the Hedgehog Winter wheelset.
Hedgehog Wheels (EUR110)
Spain can experience cold and rainy spells, especially in the winter. Thankfully, Motocaddy sell the Hedgehog wheel which provides any trolley with extra traction when mud build-up on the standard wheels may cause it to fall over in some instances. Changing of these wheels is a very straightforward process; lift the trolley, remove and replace. Available for all models, cost of EUR100.
NB: The wheels are not compatible with the Caddy Rack. Reinstall the standard wheels before folding and storing the trolley.
Caddy Rack (EUR60)
The Caddy Rack allows each trolley and battery unit to be mounted on the wall whilst stored. The trolley folds away before mounting to ensure a low footprint. The battery can be charged when mounted on the rack without the unit being removed.
Please check for your specific model to ensure compatibility — the S1 trolley from 2022 requires its own rack.
Clearview Umbrella (EUR60)
Compatible with the Umbrella Mount accessory, the advantage of the Clearview over other conventional golfing umbrellas is the partially clear covering. The umbrella also has a longer handle to offer extra coverage whilst the operator uses the trolley in inclement weather, as well an auto-open mechanism.
Seats (EUR110)
For both S and M-Series of trolleys, the seat attachment enables the user to relax for those longer sessions. The padded seat gives the user some much-needed respite for hot Spanish summers. The fitting is straightforward and also has a storage cubby underneath the seat padding.
NB: Do not operate the trolley whilst seated to prevent damaging the battery. The seat is not compatible with 2022 S1 models.
PRO 3000 Rangefinder
This laser rangefinder is an IPX5 rainproof device, with last accuracy of 0.5 yards, with a distance of 5-1300 yards. Motocaddy have made this easy to use, accurate and fast. Moreover, Motocaddy have added features to their M-Series trolleys to have extra functions with the rangefinder, such as shot planning on the GPS-enabled products. Finally, the PRO 3000 Rangefinder connects to the Accessory Station.
Slope Mode can be disabled to ensure the rangefinder's legality for PGA sanctioned competitions.
